It's a 3P+N block rated 40 A, 30 mA sensitivity, Type A earth-leakage protection, for 400 V AC 50/60 Hz networks. The DIN-rail clip-on mount and 4-module width (9 mm pitches) mean it slots into a standard distribution board alongside the breaker it protects.
The 40 A rated current (In) matches the thermal capacity of the downstream circuit — sized for a 40 A feeder, not a 63 A or 25 A one. Type A detection means it trips on sinusoidal AC residual currents plus pulsed DC (half-wave) up to 6 mA smooth DC — covers modern electronics and rectified loads where a plain AC-only RCD would be blind. Voltage-independent tripping means the RCD operates without needing a separate supply; it draws its trip energy from the fault current itself.
Integration notes
Mounts via clip-on to DIN rail (EN/IEC 61009-2-1). Neutral is on the left. Bottom tunnel terminals accept 1–16 mm² rigid or 1–10 mm² flexible; strip 14 mm. Tightening torque 2 N.m. The IP20 body (IP40 in modular enclosure) suits dry indoor panels — not washdown or outdoor. Ambient operation -25 to 60 °C, storage -40 to 85 °C, altitude up to 2000 m. Pollution degree 3 per the standard.
