Rated 40 A continuous, 300 mA earth-leakage sensitivity, Type A protection, 400 V AC, 4-pole (3P+N). Mounts on DIN rail via the clip-on mechanism, 4 module pitches wide (90 mm).
The 40 A rated current (In) matches the upstream MCB's frame — pair it with a 40 A Acti9 iC40 breaker. The 300 mA sensitivity is a delayed-action threshold for earth leakage, not a 30 mA personal-protection level; it's sized for equipment protection or fire-prevention on circuits where nuisance tripping from normal leakage (cable capacitance, filter leakage) would be a problem. Type A detects pulsating DC residual currents, which covers most single-phase rectified loads (VFDs, switching supplies, LED drivers). Voltage-independent tripping means the RCD operates without needing a separate power supply — it steals energy from the fault current itself, so it works even if the neutral is lost upstream. Rated operational voltage is 400 V AC 50/60 Hz, insulation voltage 440 V, impulse withstand 4 kV per EN/IEC 61009-2-1. Ambient operating range -25 to 60 °C, storage -40 to 85 °C, 95 % RH at 55 °C. Altitude limit 2000 m. All within standard panel conditions.
Integration notes
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail, 4 module pitches (90 mm wide). Neutral on the left. Tunnel-type terminals: bottom accepts 1…16 mm² rigid or 1…10 mm² flexible; strip 14 mm. Tightening torque 2 N·m. Electrical connection to the MCB is by screws — no busbar required for the RCD-to-breaker link. IP20 on the body, IP40 inside the modular enclosure. Local fault indication on the front. Complies with EN/IEC 61009-2-1; quality labels IMQ and OVE.
