Add-on RCD for Acti9 iC40 MCB line
The Schneider Electric A9Y84725 is an Acti9 Vigi iC40 add-on residual current device (RCD) rated 25 A with 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity. It mounts via clip-on to a DIN rail and connects electrically to the matching iC40 MCB by screws, forming a combined RCBO assembly in a 4-pole (3P+N) configuration. The voltage-independent tripping technology means it operates without needing an external power supply — the fault current itself drives the mechanism.
The 25 A rated current and 400 V AC operational voltage match the upstream MCB rating; this add-on RCD is sized for outgoing circuits up to that load. Instantaneous tripping provides no intentional delay, so it clears fast — no selectivity with downstream RCDs, but that's the expected behaviour for a final-circuit protector.
DIN rail integration and wiring
The neutral position is left, so orientation matters when assembling the MCB + RCD pair. Terminal connections use tunnel-type terminals: 1…16 mm² rigid or 1…10 mm² flexible, with a wire stripping length of 14 mm for bottom connections.
