The Schneider Electric APM1L0CCM230 is a cabinet cooling module in the Altivar Process Modular range, designed as a power module for liquid-cooled drive cabinets. The module carries IP00 as a bare component, but when integrated into a cabinet it achieves IP21 or IP66 depending on the enclosure design. UL Type 1 and Type 12 ratings per UL 61800-5-1 apply for cabinet integration, so it is accepted in North American industrial panels where those enclosure types are specified. It is compliant with UL 61800-5-1, IEC 61800-3, IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61000-3-12, IEC 60721-3, IEC 61508, and IEC 13849-1 — covering safety, EMC, environmental classification, and functional safety for variable-speed drive systems.
Environmental and installation constraints
The module is rated for operating ambient temperatures from -10 °C to 40 °C without derating, and up to 50 °C with derating. Coolant temperature for operation must be between 5 °C and 40 °C. Altitude rating goes to 4800 m but with current derating above 1000 m — a standard requirement for drive system components. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1 applies, meaning only non-conductive pollution is expected, which is typical for controlled industrial environments. Vibration resistance is 1.5 mm peak-to-peak from 2 to 13 Hz and 0.5 gn from 13 to 200 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6. Shock resistance is 4 gn for 11 ms per IEC 60068-2-27. The module must be mounted vertically in a cabinet. Relative humidity tolerance is 5 to 95% without condensation per IEC 60068-2-3. Chemical pollution resistance class 3C3 and dust pollution resistance class 3S3 per IEC 60721-3-3 are specified, so the module can handle mildly corrosive atmospheres and moderate dust levels typical of process industries.
EMC and electrical characteristics
Electromagnetic compatibility is covered with immunity test levels: electrostatic discharge level 3, radiated RF level 3, fast transient burst level 4, surge 1.2/50 µs – 8/20 µs level 3, and conducted RF level 3 per the IEC 61000-4-x series. This means the module is hardened for industrial electrical environments with moderate to high interference. Insulation resistance is greater than 1 MΩ at 500 V DC for 1 minute to earth — a standard check for drive power modules. Dimensions are 429 mm deep, 254 mm wide, and 417 mm high.
