The APM1L0LCMN4 is a liquid-cooled line choke module in the Altivar Process Modular range, designed to sit on the input side of a compatible drive power stage. It takes 380...480 V three-phase, ±10 %, at 50/60 Hz, and provides the line impedance needed to limit harmonic distortion and smooth inrush currents. The integrated EMC filter is rated to IEC 61800-3 category C3, which means it meets conducted and radiated emission limits for industrial environments — second-environment (not residential) installations. That filter is built in, so no external EMC box is needed for a C3-compliant drive system.
It is a cabinet-mount module, 1124 mm tall, 246 mm wide, 392 mm deep. Plan the backplate layout accordingly.
Compliance and certification stack
The module carries CE marking and is certified to UL 61800-5-1 (safety for adjustable speed drives) and a full set of IEC standards: IEC 61800-3 (EMC), IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61000-3-12 (harmonic limits), IEC 60721-3 (environmental classification), IEC 61508 and IEC 13849-1 (functional safety — though this is a line choke, not a safety device, the drive system it belongs to may need these). The EMC immunity levels are specified: electrostatic discharge level 3, radiated RF level 3, fast transient level 4, surge level 3, conducted RF level 3. That is a solid industrial immunity profile — level 4 on fast transients is the highest common requirement for motor drive environments. Vibration resistance is 1.5 mm peak-to-peak at 2-13 Hz and 0.5 gn at 13-200 Hz; shock is 4 gn for 11 ms.
