The Schneider Electric APM1L0MPMN4 is a liquid-cooled power module in the Altivar Process Modular range, designed for motor protection and drive power stages in the 380 to 480 VAC three-phase range. It's a cabinet-mount unit — not a standalone drive — sized for integration into a larger drive system cabinet, with a 337 mm depth, 229 mm width, and 322 mm height that dictate the enclosure layout. The liquid cooling loop handles the thermal load, which means the cabinet's air-handling only needs to manage the control and auxiliary electronics, not the main power stage.
Supply voltage is 380...480 VAC three-phase, with a ±10 % tolerance on both ends. Switching frequency is configurable from 2 to 4.9 kHz. Operating temperature is -10 to 40 °C without derating, and up to 50 °C with a derating factor applied. Altitude derating kicks in above 1000 m, with a maximum operating altitude of 4800 m. The IP rating is IP00 on the bare module, but the cabinet integration path can achieve IP21 or IP66 depending on the enclosure design; the UL Type 1 and Type 12 ratings follow the same cabinet-dependent logic.
Environmental and EMC posture
The module carries a pollution degree 2 rating per IEC 61800-5-1, which is the standard for controlled environments — no conductive dust or moisture expected inside the cabinet. For harsher plant air, the chemical and dust resistance classes (3C3 and 3S3 per IEC 60721-3-3) give some margin, but the cabinet seal is what actually keeps the environment out. EMC immunity is specified at test levels 3 or 4 across the standard suite (ESD, radiated, fast transient, surge, conducted) — that's a solid industrial-grade immunity profile, not a residential or light-industrial one. The CE marking and the listed standards (UL 61800-5-1, IEC 61800-3, IEC 61508, IEC 13849-1) cover safety and functional safety bases, which matters if the drive system is part of a safety-related control function.
Cabinet integration notes
Mounting is vertical inside the cabinet. The 337 mm depth is the dimension to check against the cabinet depth.
