The APMCA03LCN4RH is a power filter in the Altivar Process Modular (APM) family, designed to sit between the mains and an APM drive module. It cleans up line-side harmonics and provides the integrated EMC filter — rated for 300 m cable runs at category C3 — so the drive meets IEC 61800-3 conducted emission limits without an external box. The filter is rated for 380-480 V three-phase, and the line current tells you which drive it pairs with: 278 A at 380 V normal duty, 268 A at 480 V normal duty, and 233 A / 218 A heavy duty at those voltages. That 268 A at 480 V is the number to match against your drive's input rating. Total harmonic distortion of line current stays under 48 % at full load per IEC 61000-3-12, which keeps the plant's distribution transformer from overheating on a multi-drive line. Apparent power works out to 223 kVA normal duty, 181 kVA heavy duty — useful for sizing the upstream breaker and cable.
Cabinet-mount only, vertical position, IP00 — meaning no enclosure of its own, so it goes inside a panel that provides the actual ingress protection. Dimensions are 1249 mm high, 269 mm wide, 506 mm deep. That height is the main constraint: you need a cabinet tall enough to clear the filter assembly and leave room for cable bending at the top and bottom. Operating temperature range is -10 to 40 °C without derating, and up to 50 °C with a derating factor. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1 (non-conductive, occasional condensation). Environmental class 3C3 for chemical resistance and 3S3 for dust — standard for industrial process areas with moderate contamination.
Insulation resistance is > 1 MOhm at 500 V between supply and earth. Shock resistance is 4 gn for 11 ms, vibration resistance is 1.5 mm peak-to-peak at 2-13 Hz and 0.5 gn at 13-200 Hz — both per IEC 60068-2-6. These numbers matter if the cabinet is on a machine that sees frequent starts or floor vibration.
