15 kW VFD for HVAC duty with integrated BACnet/IP
The ATH230D15M3 is a 15 kW Altivar HVAC ATH200 drive, 3-phase 200-240 V input, cabinet-mount, with a built-in BACnet/IP communication module and SIL 3 STO safety function. Rated line current is 79.7 A at 200 V and 67.1 A at 240 V, with an apparent power of 27.9 kVA at 240 V.
Safety and compliance package
Safety integrity is SIL 3 per IEC 61508 and PL = e per ISO 13849-1, with STO (safe torque off) as the safety function. Approvals include CULus, CE, UKCA, KC, EAC, ATEX, and RCM. The drive meets IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61800-3 (environments 1 category C2 and 2 category C3), UL 508C, IEC 60721-3, and IEC 61508.
Application-specific functions and fieldbus
Built-in functions include fire mode, run permissive, PID controller with additional PID, damper control, and underload detection for broken belt — all configurable without an external controller. Fieldbus access is via Server Modbus serial and Subordinate BACnet MS/TP over a 2-wire RS 485 physical interface, with the BACnet/IP option card already fitted.
Physical fit and mounting
Supplied without an EMC filter — plan for external filtering if the installation requires conducted emission limits per IEC 61800-3 category C2 or C3.
