The Schneider Altivar ATH650U40N4 is a standard-variant HVAC drive from the ATH600 series, sized for a 4.0 kW motor at normal duty or 3.0 kW at heavy duty on 380–480 V three-phase supply. Normal-duty line current draws 6.956 A at 380 V and 6 A at 480 V; heavy-duty drops to 5.4 A and 4.7 A respectively. Apparent power runs 5.0 kVA normal, 3.9 kVA heavy. The integrated Class C2 EMC filter covers most European installations without an external add-on. Safety function is STO (safe torque off) rated SIL 3 per IEC 61508 and PL e per ISO 13849-1 — enough for most machine-safety architectures without a separate safety relay. The drive also packs thermal overload, motor phase loss, overcurrent, overvoltage, and undervoltage protections as standard. Fire mode and forced fire mode are available for smoke-extraction or pressurization sequences.
Markings include CE, UKCA, CULus, EAC, RCM, ATEX, WEEE, ROHS, and KCC. Standards referenced are UL 61800-5-1, EN/IEC 61800-3, EN/IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61000-3-12, IEC 60721-3, IEC 61508, IEC 13849-1, and RoHS. The ATEX marking means the drive can be part of an ATEX-rated installation when paired with appropriate motor and cabling — not that the drive itself is Ex-certified as a standalone device. Documentation packs (declaration of conformity, CE/UKCA DoC, RoHS reports) are available on request.
