Medium-voltage drive for 752 kW motors
The ATV1200A10206363 is a 752 kW medium-voltage AC drive in the Altivar 1200 family, designed for asynchronous and synchronous motors. Its supply voltage limits are 2970 to 3630 V, putting it squarely in the medium-voltage class for large pumps, compressors, conveyors, and fans in process plants. The 36-pulse diode rectifier input topology reduces line harmonics significantly compared to 6- or 12-pulse designs, often eliminating the need for external harmonic filters and meeting IEEE 519 without additional hardware.

This drive ships in a floor-standing enclosure with separate air flows for power and control sections. Prospective line short-circuit current withstand is 31.5 kA for 150 ms, and dielectric strength between earth and power terminals is 20 kV AC. Control I/O and system composition
Four software-configurable analogue inputs (0-20 mA / 4-20 mA, 24 V max, 250 Ω impedance) and one analogue output (same current range) handle process signals. Six discrete inputs are standard, expandable to ten with an option. The drive system comprises two plinths, a phase-shifting transformer, medium-voltage arrestors, cooling fans, a human-machine interface, and 18 power cells. Power connection uses M10 bar-type terminals accepting 6 × 40 mm² cable per phase, entry from top or bottom. Control supply is external at 220 V AC, 3 kVA. The internal cooling fan supply is 380 V AC. Optional external supplies for both control and fan are available. Electrical isolation between power and control circuits is standard.
