1597 kW at medium voltage — the load it handles
Rated for 1597 kW motor power with 1910 kVA apparent power, this drive serves synchronous or asynchronous motors in the medium-voltage class. The 30-pulse diode rectifier bridge input reduces line-side harmonics compared to 6- or 12-pulse topologies — relevant for sites with strict IEEE 519 compliance requirements. Supply voltage limits are 2970...3630 V, placing it in the 3.3 kV class. The output voltage is at or below the supply voltage, so motor winding insulation must be rated for the full DC bus potential.
Overload profile and fault clearing
Standard overload withstand is 1.2 In for 60 s and 1.5 In for 3 s; the high-overload profile pushes to 1.5 In for 60 s and 1.85 In for 3 s. This matters when sizing for applications with intermittent peak loads — a crusher or centrifuge that hits 150 % torque for a few seconds will trip a drive set to standard overload if the duration exceeds 3 s. Prospective line short-circuit current is 31.5 kA for 150 ms, and dielectric strength between earth and power terminals is 20 kV AC. Ground fault protection is built into the drive. These ratings define the upstream protection coordination — the supply transformer and feeder breaker must clear within that 150 ms window.

The high-efficiency variant adds 200 mm depth and 300 mm width — enough to affect floor layout and cable entry planning. Noise level is 80 dB, which may require hearing protection in the drive room or acoustic enclosures in noise-sensitive areas. I/O complement and control supply
Four software-configurable analogue inputs accept 0...20 mA or 4...20 mA, 24 V max, 250 Ohm impedance. Two analogue outputs are similarly configurable. Discrete inputs number 6 standard, expandable to 10 optional. Control supply is external at 220 V AC, 3 kVA. The cooling fan has its own internal supply at 380 V AC, with optional external supply at 380 V AC. Electrical isolation between power and control circuits is standard — no optocoupler or DC/DC converter needed for the control interface.
