The ATV1200A31304242: The drive uses a 24-pulse diode rectifier bridge input, which inherently reduces line-side harmonics below IEEE 519 thresholds without external filters. Supply voltage range is 2970…3630 V at 490 A line current.
Physical footprint and enclosure integration
Assembled in a floor-standing enclosure with separate air flows for power and control sections. Standard efficiency dimensions are 5170 mm wide × 1600 mm deep × 2670 mm high; the high-efficiency variant is wider at 5470 mm and deeper at 1700 mm, same height.
Overload profile and fault withstand
Overload capability is defined by two duty profiles: standard overload handles 1.2× In for 60 s and 1.5× In for 3 s; high overload handles 1.5× In for 60 s and 1.85× In for 3 s. This lets you match the drive to pump/fan duty (standard) or extruder/crusher duty (high) without oversizing. Prospective line short-circuit current withstand is 31.5 kA for 150 ms. Ground fault protection is integrated into the drive. Dielectric strength between earth and power terminals is 20 kV AC.
Control interfaces and I/O complement
Four software-configurable analogue inputs (0…20 mA / 4…20 mA, 24 V max, 250 Ω impedance) and one analogue output of the same type. Six discrete inputs standard, expandable to ten with an option. Control supply is external at 220 V AC, 3 kVA, with an optional 220 V AC/DC source. Cooling fan supply is 380 V AC internal, also optional external. Electrical isolation between power and control circuits is maintained.

The product composition includes a phase-shifting transformer, 12 power cells, medium-voltage arrestors, cooling fans, and an HMI — all factory-integrated in the floor-standing enclosure. No pin-compatible alternative exists in the Altivar 1200 family; this is the specific order code for the 2617 kW, 3130 kVA configuration.
