The Schneider Electric ATV1200A41005555 is an Altivar 1200 medium voltage variable speed drive rated for 3428 kW motor power, operating from a 2970-3630 V supply. The 30-pulse diode rectifier bridge input delivers low harmonic distortion without external filtering — a key advantage for installations with strict power quality requirements. This drive is designed for both asynchronous and synchronous motors, making it suitable for high-power applications like large pumps, compressors, fans, and conveyors in industries such as mining, oil and gas, water treatment, and cement.

Overload capability and fault withstand

The overload profile is defined for two duty classes: standard overload handles 1.2 In for 60 s and 1.5 In for 3 s; high overload handles 1.5 In for 60 s and 1.85 In for 3 s. This allows the drive to handle process upsets and starting surges without nuisance tripping. Fault protection includes ground fault protection integral to the drive, and the input can withstand a prospective line short-circuit current of 31.5 kA for 150 ms — critical for coordinating with upstream protection devices.

Physical construction and environmental limits

The drive ships in a floor-standing enclosure with separate air flows for power and control sections.
