4180 kW MV drive — 36-pulse diode front end
The ATV1200A50006666 is a medium-voltage drive rated for 4180 kW motor output, built around a 36-pulse diode rectifier bridge that draws 490 A line current at 2970…3630 V supply. The 36-pulse topology cancels the 5th, 7th, 11th, and 13th harmonics at the input, reducing the need for external filtering in plants with sensitive upstream distribution. Speed range is 20…100 % of base speed, with overload profiles of 1.2 In for 60 s (standard) or 1.5 In for 60 s (high overload). The drive is designed for asynchronous motors and ships in a floor-standing enclosure with separate air flows for power and control sections.
Physical footprint and cooling
Standard-efficiency build: 1800 mm deep, 6670 mm wide, 2740 mm high. High-efficiency variant adds 300 mm in width (6970 mm) and 300 mm in height (3040 mm). Both require 49800 m³/h of cooling air from forced convection fans, with internal fan supply at 380 V AC. Operating position is vertical ±10°, altitude derating starts at 1000 m (0.6 % per 100 m). Vibration resistance is 4.9 m/s² at 10…50 Hz. The enclosure is grey RAL 7032, with bar-type screw connections (M10) accepting up to 6 x 40 mm² per phase.
I/O complement and control supply
The drive carries 4 software-configurable analogue inputs (0…20 mA / 4…20 mA, 24 V max, 250 Ω) and 1 analogue output of the same type. Discrete inputs number 6 standard, expandable to 10. Control power requires an external 220 V AC, 3 kVA supply; an optional 220 V AC/DC external supply is also supported. Electrical isolation between power and control circuits is maintained. Dielectric strength is 20 kV AC between earth and power terminals. Pollution degree 2 per EN/IEC 61800-5-1, overvoltage category II.
