627 kW medium-voltage drive for asynchronous motors
The Schneider Electric ATV1200A7506666 is a medium-voltage Altivar 1200 drive rated for 627 kW motor power at 750 kVA apparent power, fed from a 2970...3630 V supply through a 36-pulse diode rectifier bridge. It drives asynchronous motors in a floor-standing enclosure with separate air flows for the power cells and transformer — the forced-convection cooling moves 13200 m³/h in the standard-efficiency configuration, 19800 m³/h in the high-efficiency build. The 36-pulse front end keeps line-side harmonics low enough to meet IEEE 519 without a separate filter in most installations — a real advantage when the plant power system is shared with sensitive loads.
Overload capability and fault tolerance

Power connections are M10 bar terminals accepting up to 6 × 40 mm² cable per phase, entry from top or bottom — sized for the 65 A line current at 3.3 kV. Operating position is vertical ±10°, and the enclosure is grey RAL 7032. Vibration resistance is 4.9 m/s² over 10...50 Hz — suitable for floor mounting near rotating machinery.
Control I/O and auxiliary supplies
Six discrete inputs standard (expandable to 10), four software-configurable analogue inputs (0...20 mA / 4...20 mA, 250 Ω impedance), and one analogue output of the same type — enough for basic speed reference, feedback, and status without an external I/O rack. Control power requires a separate 220 V AC, 3 kVA supply; the cooling fans need 380 V AC. An optional 220 V AC/DC control supply is available — important to spec the auxiliary transformer bank before commissioning.
