The ATV1200A7904242 is a medium-voltage drive rated for 660 kW motor power and 790 kVA apparent power, fed from a 2970–3630 V supply. That voltage class puts it squarely on medium-voltage distribution, not a 480 V bus — the input is a 24-pulse diode rectifier bridge, which keeps line harmonics low enough to skip a separate filter in many installations. The drive handles both synchronous and asynchronous motors, and the output voltage tracks the supply voltage (no step-up). Standard overload is 1.2× In for 60 s or 1.5× In for 3 s; a high-overload profile offers 1.5× In for 60 s and 1.85× In for 3 s — choose the profile that matches your load cycle.
Physical footprint and cooling – plan the room before the drive arrives
This is a floor-standing enclosure, not a cabinet module. Standard-efficiency dimensions: 2520 mm high × 3060 mm wide × 1400 mm deep. High-efficiency variant adds height (2670 mm) and depth (1500 mm) and width (3660 mm). The enclosure colour is grey RAL 7032. Forced-convection cooling with separate air flows for power and control. Standard-efficiency version moves 13,200 m³/h of air; high-efficiency moves 19,800 m³/h. Noise level is 80 dB — ear protection zones around the drive are expected. The drive comes as a pre-assembled system: two plinths, phase-shifting transformer, medium-voltage arrestors, cooling fans, HMI, and 12 power cells. Power connections are bar-type M10 screw terminals accepting up to 6 × 40 mm² per phase, entry from top or bottom.
