602 kW medium-voltage drive for synchronous and asynchronous motors
The ATV1200A8206363 is a Schneider Electric Altivar 1200 medium-voltage AC drive rated for 602 kW motor power with a supply voltage range of 2970-3630 V and 720 kVA apparent power. It drives both asynchronous and synchronous motors, making it suitable for high-power applications like pumps, compressors, fans, and conveyors in heavy industrial environments. The 36-pulse diode rectifier bridge input topology draws 65 A line current and delivers low harmonic distortion, which avoids the need for external harmonic filters in many installations.

Standard overload capability is 1.2 × In for 60 seconds and 1.5 × In for 3 seconds; high overload mode provides 1.5 × In for 60 seconds and 1.85 × In for 3 seconds, covering both normal and heavy-duty starting cycles. The drive withstands a prospective line short-circuit current of 31.5 kA for 150 ms, which means it can ride through upstream faults without damage during the clearing time of the protection device.
