The Schneider Altivar 212 ATV212HD22M3X is a 22 kW variable speed drive for 3-phase induction motors on 200-240 V supplies. It draws 66.4 A line current at 240 V (80.4 A at 200 V) and delivers 33.5 kVA apparent power at 240 V. The drive is rated for a speed range of 1 to 10 and includes an adjustable PI regulator loop for process control. This unit ships without an integrated EMC filter, so plan for an external filter if the installation must meet IEC 61800-3 Category C1 or C2 conducted emissions limits. The drive itself is certified to IEC 61800-5-1 and carries CE marking, with compliance to multiple IEC 61800-3 environment categories depending on filter selection and installation.
Integration notes
Mount the drive vertically within ±10° of plumb. It requires forced air flow of 261 m³/h (68950.1 Gal/hr(US)) through the heatsink — ensure the enclosure's ventilation or fan system delivers that volume. The operating altitude is 1000 m without derating; above that, derate current 1% per 100 m up to 3000 m, with a 2000 m limit for corner-grounded distribution networks. The drive measures 16.5 in high × 9.4 in wide × 8.4 in deep (420 × 240 × 214 mm). It communicates via a 2-wire RS-485 physical interface using Modbus RTU at 9600 or 19200 bps, with 8-bit data and configurable parity. A LonWorks option card slot is available for building-automation networks.
