45 kW / 60 hp Altivar 212 drive for asynchronous motors
The ATV212WD45N4CZH28 is a 45 kW (60 hp) AC drive from the Schneider Electric Altivar 212 series, designed for variable-speed control of asynchronous motors on 480 V three-phase supplies. Line current draw is 83.8 A at 380 V and 65.9 A at 480 V, with an apparent power rating of 61.9 kVA at 380 V.
Switching frequency and derating
The switching frequency is adjustable from 6 to 16 kHz; operating above 8 kHz requires a derating factor, so a 16 kHz setting reduces the continuous output current capacity. An integrated Class C1 EMC filter meets EN 55011 Group 1 Class B conducted emissions, which simplifies panel compliance for residential and light-industrial environments.
Protection coverage and communication
The drive includes built-in protection against motor and drive overheating, short-circuit between motor phases, input phase loss, DC bus overvoltage, and motor phase break, plus PTC probe input for motor thermal protection. Communication is via a 2-wire RS-485 Modbus RTU interface (9600 or 19200 bps, configurable parity), with an optional LonWorks communication card available.
