The Schneider ATV32HU75N4437 is an Altivar 32 variable speed drive sized for a 7.5 kW / 10 hp motor on a 380-480 V three-phase supply. It draws 26.5 A line current at 380 V and 18.7 A at 500 V, so the upstream protection and cable sizing should be matched to the higher figure for a 380 V installation. The integrated C2 EMC filter covers most industrial environments without an external add-on, saving panel space and bill-of-material line items.
Integration notes
The front-face RJ45 port serves both Modbus and CANopen, so a single cable drop handles the fieldbus connection. For vertical loads or fast deceleration, the braking torque reaches 170 % with an external resistor — size the resistor for the duty cycle, not just the peak. The adjustable PID regulator is configured via the built-in keypad or the SoMove software, which also handles the parameter backup for swap-out replacements.
Option card flexibility
If the onboard CANopen is not the right fit, the drive accepts plug-in communication cards for DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, Profibus DP V1, or CANopen daisy-chain variants. The card slot is accessible with the drive powered down; no additional tooling is needed beyond a screwdriver for the control terminals.
