What the 35.7 A output and STO mean for a machine build
The ATV350D11N4FS delivers 35.7 A continuous output at 460 V, enough to drive an 11 kW asynchronous or synchronous motor on conveying duty. That 35.7 A figure is the number you size the motor cable and upstream protection against — not the motor nameplate FLA, which will be lower. Safe Torque Off (STO) is integrated per IEC 61800-5-2 and IEC 61508, meaning you can wire the STO input directly to a safety relay or light curtain without an external safety contactor. That saves a DIN-rail slot and a wiring step during commissioning.
Panel fit and cooling — wall-mount, 281 mm deep, naturally cooled
The internal 24 V DC supply powers the logic inputs, so you don't need a separate PSU for the I/O bank — just land the field power and the drive is alive.
EMC and approvals — integrated C2 filter, global certs
A Class C2 EMC filter is built in, compliant with EN 61800-3 environment 1 category C2 and environment 2 category C3. For most industrial installations within a 10 m motor cable run, no external filter is needed — the drive passes conducted emissions without the extra box.
