The ATV350U55N4FS is a Schneider Altivar Machine ATV350 drive sized for a 5.5 kW motor on 400-480 V three-phase supply, delivering 19.6 A output current. It carries integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) per IEC 61800-5-2, a Class C2 EMC filter built in, and dual Ethernet ports for EtherNet/IP or PROFINET. The wall-mount chassis measures 12.2 x 20.6 x 9.2 in (310 x 522 x 233 mm).
Output current 19.6 A is the continuous rating at the drive's nominal switching frequency; derate 0.5 % per °C above 40 °C ambient and per additional 100 m above 1000 m altitude. The 5.5 kW motor power applies to standard induction motors on conveying applications; synchronous motors are also supported. Line current at 400-480 V is also 19.6 A, so input and output conductors can be sized the same. Switching frequency spans 2 to 16 kHz. Higher frequencies reduce audible motor noise but increase thermal loss — the drive derates current accordingly. The output frequency range 1-599 Hz covers most constant-torque and variable-torque loads.
Integration notes
Mount horizontally on a wall. The integrated Class C2 EMC filter meets EN 61800-3 for first environment (residential) with cable runs up to 10 m. For second environment (industrial), the filter also satisfies Category C3. The drive accepts M12 connectors for I/O and fieldbus — EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, or PROFINET via the base. Internal 24 V DC supply powers the logic inputs. Protection covers line phase loss, motor phase loss, line overvoltage/undervoltage, overheating, motor overload, PTC probes, short-circuit between motor phases, and ground fault. The STO safety function is SIL 3 / PL e capable per IEC 61800-5-2.
