The Schneider Electric ATV6000 is a medium-voltage Altivar Process drive using multilevel IGBT inverter cells with PWM output, sized for synchronous, permanent magnet, and asynchronous motors. It integrates an EMC filter compliant with IEC 61800-3 category C3 on the control side and C4 on the power side, and delivers total harmonic current distortion under 3% per IEEE 519-1992.
Supply architecture and control wiring
The drive requires multiple supply rails. The control circuit accepts either 100...240 V AC 47...63 Hz or 120...370 V DC. Digital inputs and PoE run on an internal 24 V DC supply (21...27 V), with an external 24 V DC option (19...30 V). A separate 10.5 V DC supply powers the reference potentiometer (1 to 10 kOhm). The auxiliary power supply is 230 V AC, and the cooling fan requires 400 V AC. The phase-shifting transformer and power cells are included in the enclosure.
Protection and environmental ratings
Protection covers line supply overvoltage, undervoltage, and phase loss; DC bus overvoltage; transformer thermal overload; cabinet overheating; overcurrent and short-circuit on the IGBT cells; motor thermal protection, phase break, and earth fault; control circuit break; and fan monitoring. The enclosure is rated IP31 per IEC 60529, with forced convection cooling. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1. Operating altitude is 1000...2000 m with derating. Relative humidity range is 5...95% without condensation. The enclosure is light grey (RAL 7035) and cable entry is at the bottom.
