What this drive delivers on the line
The ATV6000C139A2424ND is a medium-voltage AC drive from the Altivar Process ATV6000 series, built for synchronous, asynchronous, and permanent magnet motors up to 1100 kW in normal duty or 880 kW in heavy duty. It draws 264 A line current in heavy duty and 384 A in normal duty, so the supply transformer and cabling need to be sized for the higher normal-duty figure if the drive will ever run at that load. The 54-pulse diode rectifier bridge and integrated EMC filter keep total harmonic current distortion below 3% per IEEE 519-1992, which avoids the need for external harmonic filters on most plant networks.
Control and connectivity
The 10-inch LCD touchscreen HMI is included as standard, with multi-language support for commissioning and diagnostics. Slot A accepts Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, or EtherCAT communication modules; Slot B handles encoder interfaces (digital 5/12 V, analog, resolver, HTL). Eight programmable digital inputs (two configurable as pulse inputs up to 30 kHz), configurable analog I/O, and three relay outputs give the control loop flexibility without an extra I/O module.
Protection and compliance
The drive monitors line supply overvoltage/undervoltage/phase loss, DC bus overvoltage, cabinet overheating, IGBT faults, motor thermal overload, phase break, earth fault, and fan failure — all built in, no add-on cards needed. Marked cULus, CE, and UKCA, with isolation between power and control circuits per IEC 61800-5-1. Lifecycle status is current production — this is an active catalog item, not a legacy or phase-out part.
