Medium-voltage drive for large motor loads
The Schneider Electric ATV6000C150A1010NA3 is a floor-standing medium-voltage drive from the Altivar Process ATV6000 series, rated for 1200 kW normal duty and 1140 kW heavy duty motor loads. It uses a 48-pulse diode rectifier front end and IGBT inverter cells in a multilevel PWM topology, keeping input current THDI below 3 % per IEEE 519-1992 and delivering a power factor of 0.96 without external filtering.
Control and communication
The control block provides two RJ45 ports for Ethernet IP / Modbus TCP and one RJ45 for Modbus serial. Slot A accepts communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals), or EtherCAT. Slot B accepts encoder interface modules (5/12 V digital, analog, resolver, or HTL). Digital and analog I/O extension modules or output relay extension modules fit either slot.
Protection and compliance
The drive monitors line supply overvoltage, undervoltage, and phase loss; DC bus overvoltage; transformer thermal overload; cabinet overheating; overcurrent, overload, and short-circuit on the output; IGBT cell faults; motor thermal, phase break, and earth fault; control circuit break; and fan status. It carries CE and EAC markings and complies with IEC 61800-3, IEC 61800-4, IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 60529, IEEE 519:1992, and EN/IEC 60076. The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 on the control side and C4 on the power side.
Physical footprint
The enclosure measures 4060 mm wide by 1700 mm deep by 2751 mm high. Cable entry is from the bottom. Cooling is forced convection; the noise level is rated at 80 dB.
