The Schneider Electric ATV6000C188A4242ND is an Altivar Process ATV6000 medium-voltage variable speed drive rated for 1500 kW normal duty and 1340 kW heavy duty on a 3-phase supply. It uses a 24-pulse diode rectifier input stage and IGBT inverter cells with multilevel PWM output, housed in a floor-standing enclosure.
The normal-duty line current is 261 A; heavy-duty line current is 232 A. Apparent power is 1880 kVA. Total harmonic current distortion (THDI) is under 3% per IEEE 519-1992, driven by the 24-pulse front end — no external filter needed for most grid compliance. Power losses run 65.3 kW at normal duty, 58.3 kW at heavy duty; plan for forced convection cooling and the 83 dB noise level in the installation space.

The drive ships with a phase-shifting transformer, medium-voltage arrestors, power cells, cooling fans, a plinth, and a 10-inch LCD touchscreen HMI. Option slots accept Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherCAT, and encoder interface modules (digital, analog, resolver, HTL), plus digital/analog I/O and relay extension modules.
