The Schneider Electric ATV6000C293A3333NA3 is an Altivar Process ATV6000 medium-voltage variable frequency drive in a floor-standing enclosure. It is rated for 2340 kW normal duty and 1870 kW heavy duty, with a corresponding line current of 513 A normal duty and 408 A heavy duty. The 18-pulse diode rectifier input keeps total harmonic current distortion below 3% per IEEE 519-1992, and the integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 on the control side and C4 on the power side.
Physical footprint and installation
The enclosure measures 4460 mm wide by 1600 mm deep by 2751 mm high. Cable entry is at the bottom. The assembly includes power cells, a phase-shifting transformer, cooling fans, and an HMI with a 10-inch LCD touch screen. Forced convection cooling is standard.
Control and communications
Slot A accepts communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals), or EtherCAT. Slot B accepts encoder interface modules (5/12 V digital, analog, resolver, or HTL). Both slots can also host digital/analog I/O extension or output relay extension modules. The control block provides two RJ45 ports for Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP and one RJ45 for Modbus serial.
Protection and compliance
Protection covers line supply overvoltage, undervoltage, and phase loss; DC bus overvoltage; transformer thermal overload; cabinet overheating; overcurrent; overload; short-circuit; motor thermal protection; motor phase break; motor earth fault; control circuit break; and fan monitoring. The drive carries CE and EAC marking and complies with IEC 61800-3, IEC 61800-4, IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 60529, and IEEE 519:1992.
