The Schneider ATV6000C308A4242ND is a medium-voltage variable frequency drive from the Altivar Process ATV6000 series, built for large induction, synchronous, and permanent magnet motors. It delivers 1970 kW in heavy-duty service or 2460 kW in normal duty, fed through a 24-pulse diode rectifier that holds input current THDi under 3% per IEEE 519-1992 without external filtering.
This drive ships in a floor-standing enclosure measuring 63.0 in deep by 199.2 in wide by 108.3 in tall (1600 x 5060 x 2751 mm). Cable entry is at the bottom; forced convection cooling is built in. Plan for a plinth and clearance around the enclosure for service access. The cabinet includes the phase-shifting transformer, power cells, cooling fans, and a 10-inch LCD touch screen HMI.
Input and Output
Line current is 341 A heavy duty and 428 A normal duty; apparent power is 3080 kVA. The IGBT inverter uses multilevel PWM to generate output voltage up to the supply voltage level. The control circuit accepts 100–240 V AC 47–63 Hz or 120–370 V DC, and a separate 400 V AC supply powers the cooling fan (7 kVA). A 1 kVA auxiliary supply at 230 V AC handles the control cabinet.
