3910 kW drive for medium-voltage motor control
The Schneider Electric ATV6000C489A6666ND is an Altivar Process ATV6000 AC drive rated 3910 kW normal duty and 3740 kW heavy duty, with a line current of 428 A normal duty and 408 A heavy duty. It uses a 30-pulse diode rectifier bridge on the input and IGBT inverter cells with multilevel PWM on the output, keeping input THDI below 3% per IEEE 519-1992 and delivering a power factor of 96.
Floor-standing enclosure with integrated HMI
The drive ships in a floor-standing enclosure measuring 109.9 in high by 234.6 in wide by 66.9 in deep, with cable entry at the bottom and forced-convection cooling. It includes a 10-inch LCD touch screen multi-language display for local monitoring and parameter access. Standard delivered equipment covers medium voltage arrestors, cooling fans, power cells, a phase-shifting transformer, and the plinth.
Communication and I/O flexibility
Slot A accepts fieldbus modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals), or EtherCAT; Slot B handles encoder interfaces (5/12 V digital, analog, resolver, HTL) and I/O extension modules. The control block includes two RJ45 ports for Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP and one RJ45 for Modbus serial, plus 8 programmable digital inputs (DI7, DI8 configurable as pulse inputs up to 30 kHz) and configurable analog inputs (0–10 V DC or 0–20 mA). Three configurable relay outputs (R1 fault relay NO/NC, R2 and R3 sequence relays NO) handle status and sequencing signals.
Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1 and an operating altitude range of 1000–2000 m with derating factor cover typical industrial installation environments.
