450 kW drive with integrated 54-pulse rectifier for low THDI
The ATV6000D570A2424ND is a floor-standing AC drive from the Altivar Process ATV6000 family, rated 450 kW normal duty and 410 kW heavy duty at 570 kVA apparent power. The 54-pulse diode rectifier input keeps total harmonic current distortion below 3 % per IEEE 519-1992, which means it meets utility grid-tie requirements without an external filter in most installations. Line current draws 155.4 A normal duty and 123.0 A heavy duty, with a power factor of 0.96. The IGBT inverter cells use multilevel PWM output voltage up to the supply voltage level — suitable for synchronous, asynchronous, and permanent magnet motors.
Control architecture and fieldbus options
Two option card slots (Slot A and Slot B) accept communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, or EtherCAT, plus encoder interface modules (digital 5/12 V, analog, resolver, HTL) and I/O extension relays. The control block has two RJ45 ports for Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP and one for Modbus serial. The 10-inch LCD touch screen HMI is multi-language and ships with the drive. Configurable relay outputs (three total: one fault relay NO/NC, two sequence relays NO) handle status signalling.
