The ATV6000D790A2424ND is a floor-standing medium-voltage AC drive from the Altivar Process ATV6000 series, rated for 550 kW heavy duty and 630 kW normal duty on a 3-phase supply. Line current is 165 A in heavy-duty profile and 217.5 A in normal-duty profile, with an apparent power rating of 790 kVA. The drive uses a 54-pulse diode rectifier bridge and IGBT inverter cells with multilevel PWM output, keeping input THDI below 3% per IEEE 519-1992 and delivering a power factor of 0.96.

Control, I/O, and connectivity

The drive includes a 10-inch LCD touch screen HMI with multi-language support, configurable relay outputs (R1 fault NO/NC, R2/R3 sequence NO), and eight programmable digital inputs (DI7/DI8 accept pulse inputs up to 30 kHz). Analogue I/O: two configurable inputs (0-10 V DC or 0-20 mA, 12-bit) and two configurable outputs (0-10 V DC or 0-20 mA, 10-bit). Communication options via slot A: Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen (daisy chain RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals), and EtherCAT. Slot B accepts encoder interface modules (digital 5/12 V, analog, resolver, HTL).
