The Schneider Electric ATV630D11N4US Altivar Process drive hits 11 kW on normal duty (7.5 kW heavy duty) with 380-480 V three-phase input. Line draw lands at 19.8 A at 380 V normal duty, so factor supply breaker and cable for that handle. Output holds 23.5 A continuous at 4 kHz on normal duty; heavy duty clips to 16.5 A. Motor current follows the duty class you select. The integrated EMC filter covers IEC 61800-3 category C2 up to 50 m motor cable and C3 up to 150 m — no external filter required for most line-down installs. STO SIL 3 (safe torque off) is onboard, saving slot space and wiring.
Integration checklist
Mount vertical ±10°, wall-mount only. Forced convection moves 103 m³/h — keep clearances around the drive. Operating altitude to 4800 m with 1% current derating per 100 m above 1000 m. Eight discrete inputs, two of which (DI7, DI8) can be programmed as pulse inputs up to 30 kHz. Modbus serial and Modbus TCP/Ethernet are on the base communications port. Slot A takes optional PROFIBUS DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, or Ethernet Powerlink cards. Slot A/B accepts digital/analog I/O or relay expansion. The adjustable PID regulator is built in — no separate loop controller needed for simple process regulation. Vibration resistance is 1.5 mm pk-pk at 2-13 Hz, 1 gn at 13-200 Hz. Shock resistance 15 gn at 11 ms.
Current production lifecycle — write it into long-run BOMs without obsolescence planning. Standards: UL 508C, IEC 61800-3 (environments 1 and 2, categories C2 and C3), IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61000-3-12, IEC 60721-3, IEC 61508, EN/IEC 13849-1. TAA/BAA compliant via COTS. CE mark and UL Type 1 rating. This is the standard ATV630 variant. No official second-source or replacement — no pin-compatible drop-in exists.
