Process drive for utilities and batch control
This ATV630D15N4Z is a current-production variable speed drive from Schneider's Altivar Process ATV600 range, designed for process applications like pumps, fans, agitators, and conveyors in utility and batch environments. It is rated for 15 kW normal-duty and 11 kW heavy-duty loads on 380–480 V three-phase, delivering 31.7 A continuous at 4 kHz (normal duty) or 23.5 A at 4 kHz (heavy duty). STO Safe Torque Off to SIL 3 is built in, so you can integrate a safe stop without an external safety module. The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C2 up to 10 m and C3 up to 50 m cable, which simplifies cabinet layout in process lines.
Built-in safety and fieldbus flexibility
STO SIL 3 is standard, eliminating the need for a separate safety relay for emergency stop in CIP or mash transfer sequencing. Onboard communications include Ethernet, Modbus serial, and Modbus TCP. Slot A accepts Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen daisy chain or screw terminals, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, or Ethernet Powerlink. Slots A and B also accept digital/analog I/O extension and output relay extension modules, adapting to the I/O count of your control scheme.
Cabinet-mount with a heat sink and forced convection cooling moving 215 m³/h. Operating position vertical ±10°. Altitude up to 1000 m without derating, then 1% per 100 m to 4800 m. Shock resistance 15 gn at 11 ms, vibration per IEC 60068-2-6 (1.5 mm 2–13 Hz, 1 gn 13–200 Hz). Storage and operating humidity 5–95% non-condensing.
This drive is CE marked, a standard version variant, and carries UL 508C, IEC 61800-3 (environment 1 cat C2, environment 2 cat C3), IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61000-3-12, IEC 60721-3, IEC 61508, and IEC 13849-1. EMC immunity includes level 3 for electrostatic discharge, radiated RF, EFT/burst, surge, and conducted RF; EFT/burst is level 4.
