The ATV630D22N4US is a standard-version variable speed drive from the Altivar Process ATV600 series, sized for 22 kW normal-duty or 18.5 kW heavy-duty induction or synchronous motors on a 380…480 V three-phase supply. Normal-duty continuous output is 46.3 A at 4 kHz; heavy-duty continuous output is 39.2 A at 4 kHz — the 4 kHz switching frequency is the default for most fan/pump profiles, and the drive delivers full rated current at that frequency without derating. The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C2 for 50 m motor cable and category C3 for 150 m, covering most industrial installations without an external filter.

Wall-mount only — vertical within ±10° of plumb. Forced-convection cooling draws 215 m³/h; leave clearance above and below for airflow. The IP21 enclosure (UL type 1) is suitable for clean, dry indoor environments; if washdown or dust is present, plan for a higher-degree enclosure or cabinet. Accepts plug-in option cards in Slot A for fieldbus (Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, CANopen, Ethernet Powerlink, BACnet MS/TP) and I/O or relay extension in Slot A or B. The eight discrete inputs include two programmable as pulse inputs up to 30 kHz for encoder or flowmeter feedback. Adjustable PID regulator is built in — no external controller needed for pressure, level, or flow loops. Harmonic distortion (THDI) stays below 48 % from 80 to 100 % load per IEC 61000-3-12, which keeps line pollution within typical utility limits without an external line reactor for most installations.
