Motor power and duty ratings — sizing the drive to the load
Rated 75 kW heavy duty and 100 hp normal duty, this drive handles asynchronous and synchronous motors. The heavy-duty rating is the one to use for constant-torque loads like conveyors or extruders; the normal-duty figure applies for variable-torque centrifugal pumps and fans. Continuous output current is 106 A at 2.5 kHz for heavy duty and 145 A at 2.5 kHz for normal duty. The nominal output current is 145.0 A. Line current varies by supply voltage and duty: 112.7 A at 480 V normal duty, 98.9 A at 380 V heavy duty.
Built-in disconnect switch and IP55 — panel integration notes
The variant with disconnect switch means the drive includes an integrated load-break switch on the input, simplifying panel wiring and meeting local isolation requirements without a separate external disconnect. IP55 protection (conforming to IEC 60529 and IEC 61800-5-1) allows wall-mount installation in washdown areas or dusty environments — no need for a separate enclosure in most process plant locations. Mounting position is vertical ±10 degrees. Ambient temperature range is -15 to 40 °C without derating, and up to 50 °C with derating. Above 1000 m altitude, derate current 1 % per 100 m up to 4800 m. Forced convection cooling; noise level is 69.9 dB.
Safety function and communication slots
Integrated STO (Safe Torque Off) rated SIL 3 per IEC 61508 — this is the safety function that removes torque from the motor without a separate contactor. It's the primary safety interface for hazard zones on a process line. Slot A accepts communication modules for PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, CANopen (daisy chain RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals), Profibus DP V1, Ethernet Powerlink, and BACnet MS/TP. Slot A and slot B also accept digital/analog I/O extension and output relay extension modules. The drive ships with Ethernet, Modbus serial, and Modbus TCP as standard communication ports.
EMC filter and harmonic performance
Integrated EMC filter rated for 150 m cable length in category C3 environment (IEC 61800-3 environment 2, category C3). This means the drive is suitable for industrial power networks where the supply impedance is low — typical for factory floor installations. Maximum THDI is <48 % from 80-100 % load per IEC 61000-3-12.
