Drive integration brief
The ATV6A0C11N6 is a modular Altivar Process ATV600 drive from Schneider, rated for 75 kW normal duty at 500 V (83 A heavy duty). It integrates an EMC filter (category C3, good for 300 m cable) and includes Safe Torque Off SIL3. Cabinet-mounted, forced convection cooling. The kit includes a control unit, power module, mechanical mounting kit, and a set of fuses — a time-saver for panel builders.
Power and current headroom
Line current pulls 110 A at 500 V for normal duty, 83 A for heavy duty. Apparent power sits at 95 kVA (normal) or 72 kVA (heavy). The switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 4.9 kHz with derating — useful if you need to quiet the motor or reduce losses.
Communication flexibility
Slot A accepts fieldbus modules: Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, CANopen (RJ45 or SUB-D 9 or screw terminals). Slot A also doubles as an I/O or relay extension slot. There's also a built-in Modbus serial (2-wire RS 485, RTU) and Ethernet/Modbus TCP with half/full duplex and auto-negotiation. Transmission rates: 10/100 Mbit/s on Ethernet, 4.8–38.4 kbit/s on serial.
Safety and environmental ratings
Safe Torque Off rated SIL 3 per IEC 61508. Short-circuit protection, overvoltage/undervoltage on the DC bus, phase loss, overspeed, and ground fault detection are all built in. Pollution degree 2. Vibration resistance: 1.5 mm pk-pk at 2–13 Hz, 0.5 gn at 13–200 Hz. Shock: 4 gn for 11 ms.
