This Altivar Process ATV600 modular drive – the ATV6A0C16T4 – is a 160 kW unit meant for 480 V three-phase. Out here in the grease, you'll appreciate the forced convection cooling that keeps it going in a dirty cabinet, and the integrated EMC filter (C3) saves you an external box. The supply for the digital inputs and STO is separate at 24 V DC (21...27 V), so watch your wiring. Cabinet mount only. The analog inputs and outputs hold accuracy within 0.6% over 60°C, so the readings stay honest even when the panel heats up. You can config those analog inputs for voltage or current. The safety torque off (STO) is SIL 3, which means you can work on the motor side without killing the whole line – just the drive.
Integration details
Analog inputs are software-configurable 0-10 V or 0/4-20 mA, 12-bit resolution, linearity error ±0.15%. The supply for the reference pot gives 10.5 V DC at 1-10 kOhm.
