The modular design – separate control unit and power modules shipped in the kit – means on-site swap of a failed power section without pulling wiring. Option slots A and B accept communication modules (Profibus, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, CANopen) or analog/digital I/O and relay extensions. Plan your fieldbus before ordering; the base drive includes a 2-wire RS485 Modbus serial port plus one Ethernet port for Modbus TCP.
