Drive rating and fit
The ATV6A0C31T6 is a modular Altivar Process ATV600 drive rated for 350 hp at 600 V normal duty and 250 hp heavy duty. Line current draws 298 A (normal duty) or 218 A (heavy duty); apparent power is 310 kVA or 227 kVA respectively. Heavy-duty current of 218 A drives the high-overload rating for constant-torque loads; normal duty 298 A suits variable-torque centrifugal pumps and fans. Integrated EMC filter is rated for IEC 61800-3 Category C3 (industrial) with up to 300 m of motor cable, eliminating the need for an external filter in most plant-floor installations. Safe torque off (STO) function is SIL 3 compliant per IEC 61508, covering machine safety category requirements without external safety relays.
Communication and control options
Slot A accepts communication option cards for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, and CANopen. Ethernet port runs 10/100 Mbit/s with half/full duplex autonegotiation. Onboard Modbus serial uses two-wire RS-485 at baud rates 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s, RTU frame with configurable parity. Supports up to 247 addresses.
Protection and compliance
Listed protections include thermal and phase-loss for both motor and drive, overcurrent, short circuit, DC bus overvoltage, line supply over/undervoltage, and overspeed. STO is the primary safety function. Standards compliance includes IEC 61800-3 (EMC), IEC 61800-5-1 (safety), IEC 61508 and IEC 13849-1 (functional safety), and UL 61800-5-1. Pollution degree 2 per IEC. Marking is CE. Rated for cabinet mount with UL Type 1 or Type 12 enclosure integration.
The modular version ships with the control unit, power module (200 kW), mounting kits, power connection set, fuses, and front cover. No additional base module required.
