The Schneider ATV6A0C56Q4 is a modular Altivar Process ATV600 drive rated for 560 kW at 400 V normal duty and 450 kW at 400 V heavy duty, with corresponding line currents of 948 A and 767 A. Apparent power runs 657 kVA (ND) and 531 kVA (HD). The integrated EMC filter supports up to 300 m of motor cable per IEC 61800-3 category C3, which covers most industrial installations without an external filter. Supply architecture is split: the digital inputs and STO circuit need a 24 V DC supply (21...27 V for STO, 19...30 V for general digital inputs), drawn from an external source at under 200 mA with built-in overload and short-circuit protection. A separate 10.5 V DC reference is available for a 1 to 10 kOhm potentiometer. This avoids pulling control power from the main DC bus, which simplifies isolation in a safety loop. The drive carries STO (safe torque off) rated SIL 3, meeting IEC 61508 and IEC 13849-1. It also complies with IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61000-3-12, and IEC 60721-3. CE marked.
Fieldbus and I/O slice
Slot A accepts communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, or CANopen (daisy chain RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals). Slot A and slot B can also take digital/analog I/O extension or output relay modules. The base unit includes embedded Modbus TCP slave (10/100 Mbit/s) and a 2-wire RS 485 Modbus serial port running RTU at 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s. Discrete inputs DI1–DI6 are 24 V DC, with DI5 and DI6 configurable as pulse inputs up to 30 kHz. Analog inputs AI1–AI3 are software-configurable for 0–10 V DC or 0/4–20 mA, 12-bit resolution. Analog outputs AO1–AO2 are also configurable. Sampling times: 2 ms for fast DI, 5 ms for standard DI and AI, 10 ms for AO. Three configurable relay outputs (R1 fault NO/NC, R2 and R3 sequence NO) rated for 100,000 cycles, with 5 ms refresh.
