The ATV6A0C56T4 is a modular Altivar Process ATV600 drive rated for 560 kW (800 hp) at 480 V normal duty and 450 kW (650 hp) heavy duty, pulling 842 A and 690 A line current respectively. It includes integrated STO SIL 3 safety function and an EMC filter rated for 300 m of motor cable under IEC 61800-3 category C3. For continuous overload applications, the heavy-duty curve is the one that governs pump sizing — that 650 hp at 480 V is the number that matters. Active in production, it ships as a complete kit with control unit, power modules, mounting hardware, and fuses. The modular version accepts field-fit communication cards (Profibus DP, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, CANopen) and I/O relay extension via slot A and slot B.
Controls integrators should note the supply architecture: external 24 V DC (19…30 V) for the six digital inputs, while an internal 24 V DC supply (21…27 V, <200 mA protected) powers the STO channels and the reference potentiometer bus (10.5 V DC, 1…10 kΩ).
Cabinet-mounted, forced-convection cooled. The integrated EMC filter meets C3 for a 300 m motor cable — adequate for most water/wastewater lift stations without an external filter. Pollution degree 2, shock 7 gn, altitude derating above 1000 m at 1% per 100 m. Onboard diagnostics: three dual-colour LEDs for embedded communication, four for the option card, plus relay outputs for fault and sequence (NO/NC, 100000 cycles).
