900 hp at 480 V — normal and heavy duty
The ATV6A0C63T4 is a modular Altivar Process ATV600 drive rated for 900 hp (630 kW) at 480 V in normal duty and 700 hp (500 kW) at 480 V in heavy duty, with corresponding line currents of 939 A and 740 A. Apparent power is 781 kVA at 480 V normal duty and 615 kVA at 480 V heavy duty — the heavy-duty figure governs continuous operation on pump or fan loads with a service factor.
Safety and compliance — STO SIL 3, CE, multi-standard
CE marked; complies with IEC 61800-3 (EMC), IEC 61800-5-1 (safety), IEC 61000-3-12 (harmonic limits), and IEC 60721-3 (environmental). The integrated EMC filter meets Category C3 for 300 m cable runs.
Modular architecture and option slots
This is the modular version — the kit ships with a control unit, mechanical mounting kits, power connection set, fuses, four 160 kW power modules, and a front cover. Cabinet-mount only. Slot A accepts fieldbus communication modules: Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, or CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals). Slots A and B also accept digital/analog I/O extension and output relay modules.
Supply and control wiring
Digital inputs require an external 24 V DC supply (19...30 V). The drive provides an internal 10.5 V DC supply for a reference potentiometer (1 to 10 kOhm) and a separate 24 V DC supply (21...27 V) for digital inputs and STO, both short-circuit protected at <200 mA. Six programmable digital inputs (DI1...DI6) at 24 V DC, with DI5 and DI6 configurable as pulse inputs up to 30 kHz. Three software-configurable analog inputs (AI1, AI2, AI3) accept voltage (0...10 V DC, 30 kOhm) or current (0...20 mA / 4...20 mA, 250 Ohm), 12-bit resolution.
