The ATV6A0C71T4: This is the Schneider Altivar Process ATV600 drive in modular version, sized for 1000 hp at 480 V in normal duty (800 hp heavy duty). It comes as a kit: control unit, power module (160 kW base), mechanical mounting hardware, power connection set with fuses, and front cover.
Line current is 1044 A normal duty at 480 V, 846 A heavy duty. That sets your upstream breaker and cable minimums. Apparent power runs 868 kVA normal duty, 703 kVA heavy duty. Total harmonic distortion of input current (THDI) is under 48% at full load per IEC 61000-3-12 — the integrated EMC filter handles cable runs up to 300 m and meets category C3 of IEC 61800-3. The STO supply is 24 V DC, 21-27 V, kept separate from the digital input supply.
Supply and I/O details
Digital inputs run off an external 24 V DC supply (19-30 V). Internal supplies: 10.5 V DC ±5% for the reference potentiometer (1-10 kΩ), and a separate 24 V DC rail for digital inputs and STO (21-27 V), with overload and short-circuit protection at <200 mA. Three analog inputs (voltage 0-10 V or current 0/4-20 mA, 12-bit) with ±0.6% accuracy over 60°C and ±0.15% linearity. Two analog outputs ±1% accuracy. Six discrete inputs, of which DI5 and DI6 can be configured as pulse inputs up to 30 kHz. Communication slots: Slot A accepts Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals). Built-in Modbus serial and Ethernet/Modbus TCP at 10/100 Mbit/s. Relay outputs R1 (NO/NC fault), R2, R3 (NO sequence), 100000 cycles each, refresh 5 ms.
Cabinet mount, forced convection cooling. Operating altitude up to 1000 m without derating, then 1% per 100 m up to 4800 m. Pollution degree 2, shock resistance 7 gn for 11 ms, relative humidity 5-95% non-condensing. Noise level 74 dB per 86/188/EEC. Output voltage is ≤ supply voltage.
