The Schneider ATV6A0C80N6 is an Altivar Process ATV600 modular drive rated 560 kW at 500 V normal duty (450 kW heavy duty), pulling 756 A line current on normal duty and 610 A on heavy duty. It ships with an integrated EMC filter meeting category C3 per IEC 61800-3, covering cable runs up to 300 m. The safety function is STO SIL 3, so it can be wired directly into a safety relay or PLC without external contactors. Communication is dual-stack: Modbus serial (RTU) and Ethernet/IP or Modbus TCP via the embedded port, with option slots A/B for Profibus DP, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, or digital/analog I/O.
This drive is in active current production per Schneider's lifecycle status, so sourcing is stable for BOM lines and spares. The modular version (ATV6A0C80N6) includes the control unit, power module, mounting kit, and a set of fuses — essentially a complete cabinet-ready assembly.
Cabinet-mount only, with forced convection cooling. The power connections are via M10 bus bars on the motor side and screw terminals for control wiring (0.5–1.5 mm²). The switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 4.9 kHz, with derating at higher frequencies; for most motor loads, 2–2.5 kHz is typical. The drive includes thermal protection for both motor and drive, short-circuit protection, phase loss detection, and overvoltage/undervoltage monitoring on the DC bus and line side. The prospective line short-circuit current handling is 50 kA, which simplifies coordination in high-fault panels.
