The ATV6A0C80T4 is a modular Altivar Process ATV600 drive rated for 800 kW (1100 hp) at 480 V normal duty and 630 kW (900 hp) at 480 V heavy duty. Line current draws 1146 A normal duty, 942 A heavy duty. Apparent power is 953 kVA normal, 783 kVA heavy. The drive includes integrated EMC filter rated for 300 m motor cable (IEC 61800-3 category C3). Supply architecture is split: digital inputs take 24 V DC (19...30 V), an internal 10.5 V DC ±5% supply powers a 1 to 10 kΩ reference potentiometer, and the STO circuit runs on a separate 24 V DC (21...27 V) supply with <200 mA overload and short-circuit protection. The three supplies are isolated — the STO rail is not shared with the control logic.
Safety and compliance
The drive carries CE marking and complies with IEC 61800-3, IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61000-3-12, IEC 60721-3, and IEC 61000-3-12. Total harmonic current distortion (THDI) is below 48% at full load per IEC 61000-3-12. Lifecycle stage is current production.
Integration and options
The drive accepts communication option cards in Slot A: Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, CANopen (daisy chain RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals). Slot A and Slot B also accept digital/analog I/O extension modules and output relay extension modules. Embedded Modbus serial runs at 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s (RTU, 2-wire RS-485); Ethernet/Modbus TCP runs at 10/100 Mbit/s with half/full duplex and autonegotiation. Analog inputs AI1, AI2, AI3 are software-configurable for voltage (0...10 V DC, 30 kΩ, 12 bits) or current (0...20 mA / 4...20 mA, 250 Ω, 12 bits). Linearity error is ±0.15% of maximum value; accuracy drift across a 60 °C temperature variation is ±0.6% for inputs, ±1% for outputs. Discrete inputs DI1...DI6 are 24 V DC programmable; DI5 and DI6 accept pulse inputs up to 30 kHz.
Cabinet mount, forced convection cooling. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1. Operating altitude up to 1000 m without derating; above that, derate 1% per 100 m to 4800 m. Relative humidity 5...95% without condensation. Shock resistance 7 gn for 11 ms per IEC 60068-2-27. Noise level 74 dB per 86/188/EEC.
