The Schneider ATV6A0M10T4 is an Altivar Process ATV600 modular drive rated for 1000 kW normal duty at 480 V (800 kW heavy duty), with integrated EMC filter compliant to IEC 61800-3 category C3 and safe torque off (STO) certified to SIL 3 per IEC 61508. It draws 1692 A line current at 480 V in normal duty, 1362 A in heavy duty, with a maximum THDI under 48% at full load.
Safety and Compliance
Functional safety is declared at SIL 3 for the STO function, documented through the listed standards IEC 61508 and IEC 13849-1. The drive also meets IEC 61800-5-1 for electrical safety and UL 61800-5-1 for North American installations. The integrated EMC filter is rated for 300 m cable (984.3 ft) and complies with IEC 61800-3 category C3, meaning it is designed for industrial power networks where the supply impedance is low. Supply and I/O Configuration
The control section provides three internal supplies: 24 V DC for digital inputs (19...30 V), 10.5 V DC for a reference potentiometer (1 to 10 kOhm), and a dedicated 24 V DC rail for digital inputs and STO (21...27 V), each with under 200 mA overload and short-circuit protection. Six discrete inputs (DI1–DI6) are programmable; DI5 and DI6 can also serve as pulse inputs up to 30 kHz. Three analog inputs (AI1–AI3) accept voltage 0–10 V DC or current 0–20/4–20 mA with 12-bit resolution. Two analog outputs (AO1, AO2) are available.
Fieldbus and Communication
Slot A accepts optional communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, CANopen daisy chain RJ45, CANopen SUB-D 9, or CANopen screw terminals. Slot A and slot B can also accept digital/analog I/O extension modules or output relay extension modules. Embedded Ethernet supports Modbus TCP at 10/100 Mbit/s with half-duplex, full-duplex, or autonegotiation. A serial RS-485 port runs Modbus RTU at 4.8, 9.6, 19.2, 38.4 kbit/s.
