Drive core with fieldbus flexibility
The ATV6B0C16T6 is the main power-and-control assembly of the ATV600 line in a modular format. It delivers 175 hp at 600 V normal duty or 150 hp heavy duty, with a line current of 142 A normal / 121 A heavy. The drive is designed for asynchronous and synchronous motors. Slot A accepts any of the listed communication modules — Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, CANopen — so the network interface is chosen during integration, not baked in at order. The control unit and power module separate, making upgrades or field swaps simpler. Safety is covered on-board: Safe Torque Off (STO) to SIL 3 without an additional safety module. The integrated EMC filter (category C3) supports 300 m of motor cable, covering most industrial installations.
Production status and modular sourcing
The modular version means you can replace or upgrade the control unit or power module independently. If a later revision emerges mid-lifecycle, a full unit swap isn't forced — just the affected segment.
Cabinet installation and integration notes
Cabinet mount with forced convection cooling. Pollution degree 2 interior; UL type 1 or 12 as part of the cabinet integration. The kit includes one power module (200 kW), control unit, mechanical mounting kits, power connection set, and fuses — everything in one order code. For connection: line side screw terminal, motor M10 x 2 bars, control via removable screw terminals 0.5...1.5 mm². The switching frequency is adjustable from 2 to 4.9 kHz with derating. Default communication via Modbus serial (RS-485, 2-wire, RTU frame, up to 38.4 kbit/s) and Modbus TCP (10/100 Mbit/s, half/full duplex). The drive also carries multiple protections: thermal, short-circuit, overvoltage, undervoltage, phase loss, overspeed, and break on control circuit — all listed under protection type.
