Drive brief
The ATV6B0C20Q6 is a modular Altivar Process ATV600 drive sized for 200 kW at 690 V three-phase normal duty — it runs a 200 kW asynchronous or synchronous motor under constant torque, with headroom to 160 kW for heavy-duty (high overload) applications. Line current pulls 183 A at 690 V normal duty; feeder and upstream protection must accommodate that, with a prospective short-circuit current rating of 50 kA. The integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3, supporting up to 300 m of motor cable in industrial environments — external filter is not needed for typical panel installations. Safe Torque Off (STO) is built-in to SIL 3, allowing the drive to be wired directly into a safety circuit without an external safety relay, simplifying the safety chain. Communication options via slot A modules include Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, and CANopen; the base unit includes Modbus TCP slave.
Integration notes
Cabinet mount, forced convection cooled. Pollution degree 2. Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6: 1.5 mm peak-to-peak at 2–13 Hz, 0.5 gn at 13–200 Hz. Allow clearance for the 200 kW power module and its included mounting kit, power connection set, and fuses. Switching frequency adjustable from 2 to 4.9 kHz with derating; braking via DC injection. Control wiring via removable screw terminals, line and motor connections via M10 bars.
