The ATV6B0C31N6 is a modular Altivar Process ATV600 drive sized for 220 kW normal duty or 160 kW heavy duty at 500 V, with a corresponding line current of 278 A normal duty and 204 A heavy duty. Apparent power runs 241 kVA at 500 V normal duty, 176 kVA heavy duty. It ships as a kit: control unit, mechanical mounting hardware, power connection set of fuses, 200 kW power module, and front cover. Integrated EMC filter meets IEC 61800-3 category C3 for 300 m cable runs. Prospective line Isc is rated 50 kA. The drive carries UL type 1 and type 12 enclosure ratings for cabinet integration. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-1.
Fieldbus and control
Slot A accepts communication modules for Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, or CANopen (RJ45, SUB-D 9, or screw terminals). Slot A/B also accepts digital/analog I/O extension or output relay extension modules. Onboard Modbus serial is 2-wire RS-485, RTU frame, 4.8 to 38.4 kbit/s, 1 to 247 addresses. Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP run at 10/100 Mbit/s, half/full duplex with autonegotiation. Switching frequency is adjustable 2 to 4.9 kHz with derating. Braking to standstill by DC injection.
Installation notes
Cabinet mount only. Forced convection cooling. Operating altitude below 2000 m with current derating above 1000 m. Vibration resistance 1.5 mm peak-to-peak at 2–13 Hz, 0.5 gn at 13–200 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6. Shock resistance 4 gn for 11 ms per IEC 60068-2-27. Relative humidity 5–95% without condensation per IEC 60068-2-3. Line side connection via screw terminals; motor connection via M10 bars. Control wiring on removable screw terminals, 0.5–1.5 mm² / AWG 20–16.
