The ATV6B0C50N6 is a modular Altivar Process ATV600 drive from Schneider Electric, built for cabinet integration. It drives asynchronous and synchronous motors up to 355 kW at 500 V in normal duty (280 kW heavy duty). The modular version ships as a kit: control unit, power module, front cover, mounting hardware, and a set of line fuses.
Rated line current is 446 A at 500 V normal duty, 352 A heavy duty. Prospective line short-circuit current is 50 kA. Apparent power reaches 386 kVA at 500 V normal duty. The integrated EMC filter is category C3 per IEC 61800-3, rated for 300 m cable length – sufficient for most industrial installations without an external filter. Switching frequency is adjustable 2–4.9 kHz, with derating above nominal.
The drive includes a Modbus serial port (RS-485, RTU, 4.8–38.4 kbps) and a Modbus TCP/Ethernet IP port (10/100 Mbps) as standard. Slot A accepts fieldbus option cards: Profibus DP V1, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen (RJ45 or SUB-D), or Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP. Slot A/B also accepts digital/analog I/O extension and output relay modules. The I/O extension options let you add local I/O without a remote rack.
Safety and compliance
STO (Safe Torque Off) integrated at SIL 3. Protection coverage includes thermal protection both for motor and drive, motor phase break, short-circuit, overvoltage/undervoltage, line phase loss, and overspeed. The drive meets IEC 61800-3, IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61000-3-12, IEC 60721-3, IEC 61508, and IEC 13849-1. Marked CE. Pollution degree 2. Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6.
